Fairyhouse is one of Irelands premier racecourses and is host to the famous Grand National. The first Grand national was run in 1870 and was won by Sir Robert Peel. Frank Wise who was 5’4″ with three missing fingers and a wooden leg amazed everybody with his win in 1929 riding 6 year old Mare “Alike”. The Flat Race will begin approx 3.30 on 30 Sept .
